(Y/n) couldn’t decide whether to be amused or exasperated as she watched her three-year-old son toddle around what Stiles had eloquently dubbed as the puppy pen. The wolf cubs yapped excitedly as they ran loops around Alex, nipping playfully at his chubby little ankles. The toddler’s delighted laughter eased (y/n)’s annoyance as she watched her son’s previously clean clothes get coated in fur and slobber, a combination she was finding herself all too familiar with.
When Derek had suggested opening a wolf sanctuary on the Hale land with the abundance of money they had, she’d been a little uncertain, but now, watching her son play with the cubs while being careful not to hurt them (just like his dad had taught him to), she found that her heart was full and that she couldn’t remember being happier anywhere else.
Turning to Scott, she handed him the mug of coffee in her hand while trying to glare at the younger man. “I explicitly remember telling you to keep Alex out of the pen”
Scott huffed out a laugh as they returned their attention back to the toddler before taking a sip of his drink. “The kid used puppy eyes against me – I get why you guys always tell me off for it now”
(Y/n) couldn’t keep the smile off her face as she chuckled softly, practically melting as she watched Alex bundle one of the cubs into his arms and cuddle it to his chest. Bumping Scott’s shoulder with her own, she asked him to keep an eye on Alex while she went in search of Derek.
She wandered a little way into the woods were the wolf pens were situated, waving at Erica and Boyd as they walked passed, hand in hand. However long it might have taken and however difficult it might have been, Derek had made a home for them here – for all of them and she loved it. Hearing a grunt coming from one of the pens, her footsteps automatically sped up.
“Derek, baby, are you okay-“ (Y/n) wanted to reacquaint her palm with her face when she spotted her husband. Derek was rolling around on the muddy forest floor with two male wolves, growling playfully when they pounced on his back. She wanted to be angry, she really really wanted to be angry because they’d cleaned the house yesterday and she didn’t need him trekking mud inside but Derek was smiling in such a happy, carefree way that it made her heart melt, subsequently taking any and all anger she felt with it. With a grin adorning her face, she walked towards the chain link fence, looping her fingers through the gaps before bending down to offer the wolves her hand to sniff when they trotted over to say hello. When she rose to her feet, Derek was smiling down at her, his eyes bright and his clothes coated in a thick layer of grime. “You’re setting our son a bad example”
He only snickered, petting the wolves behind the ears before walking out of the enclosure. “I don’t know what you’re talking about”
Holding out his hand, Derek linked their fingers together as they slowly made their way back to the main house. “You know exactly what I’m talking about and you are taking sole responsibility for cleaning up the mess you make inside” Much to her surprise, and unfortunately her amusement too, Derek turned to her with puppy eyes, walking backwards while keeping his gaze fixed with hers. Her heart was beating wildly against the confines of her chest, practically bursting with love for the man in front of her. “We are never inviting Scott to stay ever again, I’m outnumbered already and now you have unfair weapons at your disposal”
Derek pulled her into his arms, littering kisses down her neck and across her shoulders while being sure to rub as much mud on her as possible, his grip on her waist tightening when she tried to wiggle out of his embrace.
“We could always change that” His hand rested over her slightly rounded stomach, his gaze turning soft as he rubbed his thumb across her t-shirt.
“The doctors said it was a boy” (Y/n) was certain they both had ridiculously wide smiles on their faces but she didn’t care. Derek was finally happy and they had a family, one that would hopefully continue to grow.
Summary: Everyone felt helpless after you got kidnapped. They didn’t know where you were and couldn’t do anything. That was until a new lead is presented to them.

When Esme told the group that the lab in cahoots with Sentinel Services were the ones who kidnapped you and that you were still alive every fibre in John’s body should have told him not to believe her. But it was you they were talking about. You were his everything. His constant in a life of uncertainty. Even if it was a lie constructed by Esme he still had to see for himself. He had to know. The not knowing part of this whole thing was what was killing him inside. It also took a toll on all of your friends. For the first time everyone felt helpless. Until now.
For the past couple of days John and the others were making a plan on how to infiltrate this lab and get you and the other mutants out. Even though John wanted to rescue you straight away, he knew he couldn’t go in without a plan. He couldn’t lose anyone else. So they made a plan. One that was foolproof and accounted for every possible outcome. After they were satisfied with it John, Marcos, Clarice, and Lorna all were ready to storm the lab and save you.
With the help of Sage, the four of them breached the lab without raising any alarms to the employees. They headed down the big corridor to the room at the end where Esme said you and the other mutants will be. Using his abilities, John opened the door revealing a bunch of people locked in cages. They were scared. John could tell by looking into their sunken eyes. He didn’t know how long they’ve been here but he knew they’ve been through a lot. John rushed down the room, taking in every face and looking for the familiar one of yours but you weren’t there. “Damn it!” He shouted, punching the nearest wall out of frustration. “Y/N’s not here.”
“John-” Was all Marcos could say before the whole building started to shake. John’s head, along with everyone’s else’s, snapped up. He didn’t need to use his abilities to know it was you. Before anyone could stop him he dashed out of the room and headed further into the lab to find you with Marcos trailing behind leaving Clarice and Lorna to get the others out of there. John looked in every single room, careful not to let anyone know that they’re here. It wasn’t until the last door on this floor that he found you.
You were tied to the chair in the middle of the room, writhing in pain and uncontrollably using your powers. “Y/N!” John shouted as he ran over to you, trying to get through to you but to no avail. Instead you sent out another blast of your powers causing the building to shake again and dust to fall from the ceiling.
“John, you need to calm Y/N down or else this whole place will collapse with us inside.” Marcos said with urgency lacing his voice and his features as he stood at the door as look out.
“Y/N! Come on, wake up. It’s me. It’s John.” He tried again, gently shaking you as he did. “Y/N…” In that moment your eyes snapped open and your breathing was erratic until your gaze landed on John.
“John.” You breathed. You immediately relaxed in his presence. You felt safe with him like no one would hurt you ever again. He untied your arms and legs and you wrapped your arms around him.
“How about we get out here, huh?” He asked and you nodded, gripping on to him for dear life and letting him lead you out of the lab.
“So love, would you be interested in having dinner on Saturday?” Klaus smiled.
“No, sorry Klaus, I’m going shopping with Rebekah, maybe on Monday, and do you mind if I invite Kol? I’ve been meaning to meet up again with him too?” She asked.
“Fine.” He grumbled, watching in slight irritation at the figure that disappeared out of the room, completely oblivious to his advances. When will they figure this out?

“God, this was such a bad idea.” I walk hand in hand with Stiles, the rest of the pack a little behind us. It was Friday the 13th and everyone wanted to do something rather than stay home and watch movies all night. Stiles decided that it would be fun to go to a local theme park called “Fright Night at Scarywood,” which was Halloween-themed. Haunted houses, corn mazes, clowns chasing you with chainsaws, the whole set-up was offered there. It was one of the best attractions during the month of October.
